Compliance Officer - Insurance Sector| £ Excellent plus benefits package | Malta
SRGEurope has been appointed to recruit an experienced ComplianceOfficer to join a well-established Insurance Management company based in Malta.
The Compliance Officer will act as a central point of contact for compliance-related issues including the focal point in relation to the submissions and correspondencewith the relevant regulatory bodies in Malta including but not limited to the MFSA.
Communication across other officesin Europe will be required, English must be at a high level.

Compliance Officer Responsibilities:
*
Working closely with the compliance team to oversee the activities of the insurance managers clients
*
Working closely withthe risk team to ensure timely filing of regulatory reports
*
Understanding and keeping up-to-date with current regulations and developments in the regulatory space
*
Updating internal templates and processes to ensure they remain relevant andup to date with regulatory changes
*
Performing Customer Due Diligence on new clients, including Client Risk Assessment Maintaining updated Customer Due Diligence files
*
Preparing reports for, and attending, several internal and external governance meetings, including Committees and Board meetings and Minute taking
*
Maintaining and updating the company's compliance monitoring program
*
Completing due diligence requests from various service providers
Compliance Officer Responsibilities:
*
Ideally but not essential to hold a Law Degree or similar or to have some experience in a similarrole.
*
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write comprehensive and detailed reports.
*
Someknowledge of legal, compliance and regulatory issues affecting the financial services industry.
*
Strong attention to detail
*
Proactive approach, with ability to work on own initiative.
