My client a global supply chain management company at the technological forefront of the industry is looking for an Air Import Supervisor to assist in the management of their team of 6 clerks in Dublin.The successful candidate will support the air import manager in the smooth running of the department within the branch and the air import product in the market place through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence tothe company's policy and procedures.
Day to day tasks for this job will include but are not limited to:
* Ensure team ismeeting company standards for training requirements as well as new hires completing the mandatory training
* Identify, develop and mentor your #2
* Participate in staff appraisals
* Support the Manager where required
To be considered for this jobyou should have a strong attention to detail, have an excellent understanding of freight forwarding and Air Freight in particular and have supervised a team with at least 2-3 years of experience. You should have strong IT skills (especially Excel), be proactive in your approach to resolving issues, be able to work in autonomy and speak and write English fluently.
