On behalf of my client, a dynamic and innovative chemical manufacturing company located in Shannon, Co. Clare, I am seeking a skilled and experienced Chemical Production Operator to join the team for a six-month contract. This company prides themselves on producing high-quality chemical products that meet the needsof a diverse customer base.
The role:
The Chemical Production Operator is part of a team of operators who are responsiblefor the handling of the raw materials, manufacture of batches and loading and unloading of bulk liquids. The Operator is required to move regularly to different areas on site and this will involve working on different processes as well as working both indoors and outdoors in the yard.
Responsibilities:
* Follow the operating procedures
* Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and comply with all Company regulations
* Filling/loading and unloading of chemicals into tankers/trucks for transport to Customers
* Forklift driving
* Waste Management of Both Chemicals and General Waste.
* Stock taking and Stock rotation
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
* Forklift Licence is essential for this role* Experience of use of other machinery would be an advantage (e.g., Teleporter/ MEWP)
* Chemical Awareness
* Experience ofusing personal protective equipment
* Familiar with the requirements for the transport of hazardous loads by road
* Manual handling training and practical experience of manual operations
* Computer Literate, with the use of software packages such asWord, Excel, and ERP systems
* Will be fit and able to lift and move heavy goods
* Candidates from a warehouse, construction, farming background will be considered
Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm
Friday, 8am - 3:30pm
Rate of pay: €15.14 per hour
