My client a major player in the recycling, waste managment and renewablesindustry is currently seeking a Dept Manager for their SE Region. As the Depot Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of their depots in SE Region primarily based in Rosslare. Your responsibilities will encompass waste collection activities, waste transfer and processing, and overall depot operations. Collaboration with their wider operations team and support functions is essential to meet financial, operational efficiency, productivity, cost control, safety, and environmental compliance targets for both depots.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage operating financials for the waste collection area, ensuring cost management aligns with budget and company procedures.
* Deliver exceptional daily service to domestic and commercialcustomers, meeting agreed KPI standards.
* Foster effective communication with your team, customer service, sales, and otherstakeholders to promote problem-solving and efficient operations.
* Build and lead a motivated, well-trained depot team, forecasting and addressing staffing needs as required.
* Oversee key controls, including cost controls, health and safety measures,compliance, and more.
* Ensure environmental compliance and a safe working environment, leading by example in safety standards.
* Lead and performance manage direct reports, actively participating in the Performance Management process.
The Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing a similar scale depot or operations function.
* Experience in fleet and people management, ideallywithin waste/recycling or logistics.
* Proficiency in transport management aligned with EU regulations and directives.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Effective planning abilities and a strategic mindset.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Flexibility to work across different business sections.
* Proficiency in the English language and eligibility to work in Ireland.
The Package:
* €45 000 - €60 000 (Depending on Experience)
* 10% Performance Bonus
