LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR
LIVERPOOL
UP TO £30,000 BASE + BONUS + BENEFITS
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading and well-respected business located in Liverpoolthat is expanding their team. This highly successful business has achieved significant year on year financial growth and has areputation for investing in their people.
As a Logistics Administrator, you'll be working closely with the Sales Manager & Operations Director, to assist with Sales Orders that have import / export requirements, creating packing lists and the scheduling of the transport fleet which consists of up to 14 vehicles.
This role requires an individual who is exceptionally organised, has great verbal / written communication skills and who enjoys working within a fast-paced office environment.
THE LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR ROLE:
* As a Logistics Administrator, you'll support both the Sales Manager and the Operations Directorto ensure smooth running of the logistics side of the business
* Ensure smooth running of the back office and ensure that Sales & Transport processes are efficient
* Liaising with external shipping companies for international container exports, coordinating with suppliers and approving Customs paperwork that is pre-populated by the shipping company
* Preparing packing lists of the contents of the shipments for both International and UK based road transport deliveries
* Maintaining a central database of legal documents for the driving licences, insurance and vehicle information to be shared with customers/suppliers as and when required
* Creating simple transport schedules for an internal vehicle fleet of 7 and an external fleet of up to 7 (allwith one haulier)
* Speaking with end customers to discuss outstanding high value quotes
* Liaising with external finance companies on behalf of the Sales team to organise Hire Purchase Agreements
* Managing all shipping and transport paperwork, streamlining where possible
THE PERSON:
* The ideal candidate will be currently working within a Logistics Administrator, Transport Administrator or Supply Chain Administrator position. However, my client is open to considering candidates who have extremely strong administration skills or an individual who comes from a Plant Hire / Tool Hire / Hire Desk style position.
* Excellent communication skills who is able to coordinate activities between multiple departments, external suppliers & customers* Highly organised individual who enjoys working within a fast-paced office environment
* Computer literate with MS Officeand an individual who is used to improving internal processes
