LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
MANCHESTER
£25,000 - £30,000 + BENEFITS

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is partnered with a Growing Fashion Wholesalers based in Manchester.
They're looking to hire a Logistic Coordinator to join the Ops team, reporting into the MD and helping to improve business development and negotiate with suppliers
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Ensures availability of goods
* Building relationships with overseas forwarders as this hasn't be done to date.
* Communicating and planning with the overseas offices on ETD dates with overseas offices and booking competitive rates for these goods to sail
* Liaise with freight forwarder on a day to day basis.
* Views cargo journey,
* Ensures all correct paperwork, load plans etc
* Provides commodity codes
* Booking in stock onto the system and confirming this with forwarders
* Communicates all delays to buyers and merchandisers
* Reconciling bills to ensure we have been charged correctly
* Calculating average rates of shipping items from China, Bangladesh and Turkey
* Updating directors weekly on issues with the port, current climate and general logistics news
* Potentially looking at new forwarders as we currently use K&N
* Working with Next and K&N to look at the quarterly rates and fluctuations
* Dealing with all Bill of Ladings
KEYEXPERIENCE:
* Working in a similar role for 2 years+
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
