SHIPPING COORDINATOR
BARKINGUP TO £30,000 + FLEXIBLE HOURS + BENEFITS
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading, international business who are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join their highly successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a Shipping / Logistics / Import / Export / Freight Forwarding background looking fora new challenge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable, rewarding and successful business. As a Shipping Coordinator you will work as an integral part of the Sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Coordinate with sales managers to ensurea smooth running of the sales team and process
* Allocating shipments in conjunction with area management, slot controllers and planners
* Closely coordinate with operations and trade management to steer volumes and revenues and improve results
* Optimise space utilisation
* Monitor budget performance
* Completing weekly forecasts and assist in producing monthly actual and trend results
* Monitoring booking performance of relevant members of the sales team against customer allocations and budgets
* Implement the sales strategies in accordance with trade management
* Follow up on performance of target accounts in liaison with the wider sales team
THE PERSON:
* Experience within a Commercial / Operations / Coordinator role within Shipping / Logistics / Export / Import / Freight Forwarding is essential
* Excellent understanding of international shipping and freight
* Confident to work independently, managing a busy and reactive workload
* Strong relationship building skills
