Join a leading chemical manufacturing company in Ireland as a Transport Planner /Scheduler. You will be responsible for efficiently coordinating the movement of goods, optimising routes, and ensuring timely deliveries. Collaborate with internal teams, drivers, and customers to provide exceptional service and adherence to legal and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive transportation schedule.
* Coordinate with internal departments for scheduling and customer specifications.
* Assign drivers and vehicles based on location, capacity, and time constraints.
* Optimise route planning to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
* Monitor deliveries and address any delays or issues.
* Communicate instructions and updates to drivers.
* Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and provide exceptional service.
* Collaborate with warehouse personnel for efficient loading and unloading.
* Maintain accurate transportation records.
* Analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance.
Requirements:
* Transport CPC qualification or similar (desirable).
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.* Extensive knowledge of Irish geography.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Self-motivated and deadline-driven.
*Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
