We are currently seeking Warehouse Team Leads for both Day and Night Shifts at our client's Newcastle West Distribution Centre. In these roles, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our client's warehouse processes while supporting their customer service proposition.
Key Accountability:* Ensure compliance with all warehouse and delivery processes across the site.
* Support management in monitoring performance standards and driving performance improvement.
* Maintain facility maintenance and hygiene to the highest standard.
* Manage health and safety protocols, incident reporting, and investigations.
* Oversee security procedures and ensure their adherence.
* Maintain and ensure the proper use of all equipment and material handling equipment (MHE).
Requirements:
* Knowledge and understanding of various roles within the warehouse, including drivers, shunters, trunkers, loaders, selectors, receivers, and FLT functions.
* Excellent knowledge of internal transport and compliance procedures, as well as Department of Transport regulations.
* Flexibility regarding working hours and start/finish times to accommodate business needs.
* Strong ability to work independently.
* Clean attendance, punctuality, disciplinary, and health and safety record.
* Security-consciousmindset.
* Exceptional organisational skills.
* Excellent people skills, including communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.

Summary:
As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be responsible for the operational and personnel activities of an assigned area of the warehouse. Yourleadership and direction will be crucial in achieving organisational goals, ensuring accuracy, and engaging the team.
Day Shift Responsibilities:
* Direct supervision of order selectors, loaders, forklift operators, and other warehouse employees.* Perform functional supervision, including scheduling and making recommendations regarding hiring and performance management.* Monitor and control production, overtime, absences, tardiness, and other operational aspects.
* Counsel, advise, and instruct warehouse employees on policies, procedures, safety training, and productivity.
* Supervise the selection of products, loading of trailers, and proper handling of outgoing products for on-time truck departures.
* Conduct staff meetings and trainingsessions for employees.
* Maintain warehouse cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
* Provide training, retraining, and corrective action to prevent injuries and accidents.
* Perform administrative duties, including report completion andrecord maintenance.
Night Shift Responsibilities:
* Similar responsibilities as the Day Shift with a focus on overseeingthe night operations of the warehouse.
