My client is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor with a valid forklift ticket to jointheir team. If you have a strong background in warehouse operations and possess exceptional leadership skills, this is an excellent opportunity to take on a supervisory role and contribute to the success of our organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
* Train andmentor warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and efficient execution of tasks.
* Monitor and optimise inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimising excess stock.
* Oversee the forklift operations, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety guidelines.
* Plan and assign daily tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
* Implement and improve warehouse procedures to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Collaborate with other departmentsto ensure smooth work flow and timely order fulfilment.
* Maintain accurate documentation of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
* Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during warehouse operations.
Requirements:
* Valid forklift certificate and proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience inwarehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate andguide a team effectively.
* Excellent knowledge of warehouse procedures, safety regulations, and inventory management.
* Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other related software.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaboratewith team members and other departments.
