Cleaning Team Manager
Locations: Carlisle
Salary: £40-45k per annum, depending upon experience
The Cleaning Team Manager roleis to control and co-ordinate the site, high-level, production, office and facilities cleaning requirements for a well-established manufacturer in Carlisle.
Responsible for an experienced team of staff, the Cleaning Team Manager will take accountability for the cleaning requirements on site with key responsibilities to:
* Engage, motivate and develop the team.
* Ensure the cleaning teams are adequately resourced at all times.
* Best practice is adopted in all processes and activities, supportingand driving a culture of continuous improvement.
* Prepare, review and update documentation including risk assessments, method statements and training evidence.
* Monitor and review KPI data, reporting the results to the leadership team and addressingany shortfalls.
* Take an active role in customer visits and audits.
* Understand the budgetary requirements and factors that affect them.
* Monitor and challenge efficiency, service levels and labour utilisation in order to maximise operational effectiveness.

The successful Cleaning Team Manager MUST have:
* Robust understanding of the hygiene standards and cleaning requirements
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Thorough understanding of current cleaning/hygiene best practice and audit standards.
* Proven people management ability
* Experienced in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Aptitude for affecting and influencing others
