Description:
Due to ongoing expansion my client,a leading medical device company are seeking an experienced Engineering Shift Technician to join their team in Drogheda.
Within this position you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment and modification of all plant and production equipment. You will also be involved in trouble shooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

* 4x Shift Cycle ( 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off.)

* Respond quickly to any equipment related downtime in the manufacturing process.* Demonstrate flexibility and mobility as needed to support operational needs.
* In the event of unplanned maintenance, advise the Team Leader at first available opportunity of the estimated duration and/or impact of the repair work.
* Ensure adequatecommunications are maintained such that key information is passed on the other Technicians, Engineering and Team Leaders as applicable.
* Ensure all preventative maintenance activities are done on time and recorded in full on the designated forms. Report any unusual observations where applicable.
Requirements:
* You will be technically qualified with a national certificate in either fitter/turning or as an electrician and/or suitable 3rd level qualification.
* 2 Years + experience in machine maintenance in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
* PLC experience is preferred but not crucial
* Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry essential
