Are you looking for a full time permanent "operator" job that has progression, training and plenty overtime opportunity?
This job is a succession planning, new operator job to replace and cover a critical role in this busy factory.
The current person doing the job has been there for decades and has worked his way up from operator to production manager, and is getting ready to retire. You will shadow and learn from this knowledgeable stalwart and will get opportunities to travel to sistersites in the USA to learn and help bring in new technology.
Loads of opportunity for someone who is willing to learn, able to work on your own initiave, has "cop on" and a desire to "get somewhere" in your career.
Our client, in Cork city requires someone who is coming from a milling, grinding, cement, quarry environment (don't mind dust) who has worked on comupterised (Honeywellor similar) ERP system recording work.
You will be joining an established multi national company, where you will be encouragedto progress and be given opportunities to further your career/study.
This is a Monday - Friday 8-4 full time job (with plentyovertime opportunity)
You will be an experienced production operator who has a fork lift license.
You will also be used to recording your work using a computerised system (fully computer literate).
Your duties will include:
* Setup the productionequipment and supplies before production of orders.
* Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
*Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
* Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform andcomplete the assigned duties in timely manner.
* Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
