Description:
Our client, based in South Tipperary, requires a Health and Safety manager. You will be reportingin to the site General Manager and be part of the senior site leadership team.
You will be joining a multi national food producer during this exciting time of growth and you will be responsible for managing the site Health and Safety Team (4), with support from the Group Health and Safety Manager. This is the largest site in the group and there are circa 600 people on site. If you have a positive "can-do" attitude, a drive to get the job done, and a passion for creating a safe working environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Do you have a Level 8 qualification in Health & Safety?
Do you have 3-5 years of Health and Safety management experience gained in the food/beverage industry?
Your duties will include:
* Build a strong Health & Safety culture throughout the site
* Conduct regular internal audits to ensure proper implementation of policies andprocedures
* Carry out and update risk assessments, formulate preventative measures, and monitor conformance
* Lead weeklySafety briefings/huddles with Line Managers
* Investigate, record, and conduct follow-ups on incidents, accidents, or near misses
* Ensure the site Emergency Plan and Procedures are up to date, communicated, and understood by all key responders
