Description:
Our client, based in Roscommon, requires a Health & Safety specialist to join their food processing facility. This H&S job has come about due to the current Health and Safety Manager being promoted to a Group Risk/H&Smanager position. You will be joining an established, Irish owned, company where progression is a reality and career developmentis encouraged. You will be part of the Site Leadership Team and report in to the Group Risk/H&S manager. There are circa 400 people onsite.
Do you have a formal H&S qualification?
Do you have 2/3 years post qualification H&S experience gained in a PRODUCTION/FACTORY environment?
Your duties will include:
Develop policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors and visitors to the company.
Coach supervisors and managers in good and best practice and understanding of safety processes
Develop and maintain a safety culture, in the workplace including the use of behaviouralsafety approach.
Participate in the site management team owning the safety agenda
Attend daily PIT meetings
Complete daily safety walks
Maintain the safety dash board
Participate in LEAN management and continuous improvement
Investigate and reporton accidents and related incidents, recommending any changes that may be necessary, to ensure that the company complies with health and safety regulations
Carry out a risk analysis for the company and recommend any changes that may be necessary.
