Our client, based in D24 is looking to employ a Health and Safety manager. This is a senior appointment and theperson will form part of the company leadership team. You will be joining an established and successful, family owned, indigenous Irish business that is growing. The H&S Manager will be responsible for the upkeep of the H&S policies and ensuring the entire business is adhering to H&S standards. The company employs circa 500 staff across their sites and has a strong culture of putting their people and their values at the very centre of everything they do, creating a sustainable future for their teams and company. This health and Safety manager job offers a hybrid option. Own transport and full clean drivers license essential.
Do you have a formal Health and Safety Degree qualification?
Do you have 5+ years Health and Safety management experience?
Are you a Certified ISO 45001 Lead auditor with experience in dealing with external auditors, including HSA inspections?The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for devising and bringing to life the Health & Safety agenda ensuring the H&S services provision to the business is aligned to and supports the business strategy.
The H&S Manager will be responsible for the Health & Safety function within the company, providing support, advice and guidance to executive and leadershiplevel whilst ensuring the day-to-day service provision and frameworks at all levels within the organisation are fit for purpose.
Your duties will include:
* Devise and roll out a fit for purpose 2-5 year occupational H&S strategy
* Responsible for advising on overall compliance in matters of occupational Health & Safety in accordance with Company policy and relevantstatutory provisions.
* Responsible for delivering on the introduction of ISO45001 into the business and maintaining all associated frameworks.
* Preparation of analytical H&S reports for the business. leaders as and when required ensuring that theinformation is presented in a visually clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to senior leadership.
* Full claims process management from initial stages to litigation.
* Carry out accident investigations and ensure remedial actions are put in place.
* Deliver and complete statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority for all incident / accident reporting.
* Assisting Site Management in compiling cost records and forecasts for all issues associated with Health & Safety including, but not limited to, training, health & safety investments, etc.
