Job Title: Logistics Manager
Location: Little Island
Salary: €55k - €60k PA
Hours: Monday - Friday 9 - 5
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Logistics Manager will oversee onsite logistics operations. This hands-on role will drive productivity, efficiency, and compliance while fostering a culture of motivation and engagement within the logistics team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to enhance supply chain business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead the onsite logistics team to ensure effective and compliant shipping operations.
* Coordinate outgoing shipments accurately to customer sites and distribution centres, meeting domestic and international deadlines.
* Serve as the point of escalation for shipping-related issues.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with corporate supply chain and customer services to meet customer needs.
* Supervise carriers and freight forwarders, driving performance improvements and building strong relationships.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external freight, customs, and cost responsibilities.
* Coach and develop the logistics team to deliver best practice results and continuous improvements.
* Ensure team members are fully trained and maintain up-to-date training records.
* Work with site management and supply chain stakeholders to develop the future state warehouse and logistics model.
* Monitor and update relevant KPIs via local and corporate dashboards.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Strong safety knowledge and commitment to personnel safety.
* Proficiency in SAP orsimilar ERP system, with 5+ years of subject matter expertise in logistics movements.
* Third-level qualification in Supervision/Management or 5+ years in a relevant logistics leadership role.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, andinfluencing skills.
* Knowledge of and interest in Quality, Compliance, and GMP.
* Strong systems skills and computer literacy.
* Initiative and ability to interface effectively with colleagues at all levels and across cultures.
