Currently recruiting for a Manufacturing/Process Engineer for my manufacturing client based in Cavan
Role and Responsibilities:
* A vacancy has arisen for a Process/Manufacturing Engineer. The successful candidate will provide technical support to both the manufacturing operations and engineering departments to develop systems and processes. The role will require a commitment to continuousprocess improvement and the ability to use a CAD/CAM package efficiently.
* The position will suit capable individuals requiring career progression or already experienced engineers who have good technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.* CNC programming via CAD/CAM Edgecam preferable but not essential as training will be provided
* Developing manufacturing processes by designing and developing new fixtures, gauges and special equipment
* Develop and roll out automated job cards procedures for machinists which outline clearly all information's required
* Setup new process to allow quick and accurate quotations
* Monitor and study real time machining run time data using in-house manufacturing data collection system
* Implement process improvements and technical guidance on machining strategies that will reduce unit cost of product
* Complying with all quality procedures in accordance with ISO Standards
* Reviewing drawings and liaise with customer on Design for Manufacture, providing run times and tooling costs
* Identify and implement continuous improvement activities for existing equipment and manufacturing processes in line with Lean Manufacturing principles
* Participate in preventive maintenance activities as the needsarise
* Work closely with Management to identify opportunities for improving efficiency within the production line with focuson reducing downtime and increasing capacity
Qualifications:
· Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Precision Engineering or related field required. Minimum 2 years previous experience in the fields above.
· A practical understanding of fabricationis advantage
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
·Proficient in CAD/CAM package preferable SolidWorks and Edgecam preferablebut not essential as training will be provided.
· Experience operating in a Lean Manufacturing/Operational Excellence production environment is advantage.
· Ability to demonstrate maturity of judgement, strong interpersonal and communication skills and a high degree of personal integrity.
Salary: €40,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
