Operations Manager - South Tipperary
FRS Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading biotechnology company in recruiting an Operations Manager to join their team.
Specialising in the purchase and collection ofBovine blood, processing and exporting the product to Europe, they are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee various criticalaspects of the business operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, quality control, and the efficient management of the company is completed.
Key Responsibilities: (Asnapshot..)
* Maintain full compliance with EU regulations for the registration of the business.
* Manage and enforce quality control in all divisions of the business.
* Ensure full compliance with DAFM (Department of Agriculture Food and Marine)regulations, including certification and transportation requirements.
* Oversee health and safety requirements for both the company and the Abattoirs.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of Standard Operating Procedures.
* Maintain a deep understanding of compliance responsibilities to meet customer ISO accreditation requirements.
* Handle Animal By-Product Categories and their appropriate management.
* Demonstrate technical ability in the ethical and efficient harvesting of blood while adhering to quality standards, DAFM Veterinary Inspector requirements, and safety protocols.
* Maintain business registration for AnimalBy-Products manufacturing.
* Manage production planning, health and safety compliance, and quality compliance, including HACCP.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and customs requirements.
* Manage a team of operatives based at different locations nationwide
* Oversee recruitment and training processes.
* Manage and enforce health and safety protocols across all divisions of the business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
* Proven experience in a similar managerial role within a regulated industry.
* In-depth knowledge of EU regulations, DAFM regulations, and quality control standards.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
* Proficiency in document management and IT systems.
* Must hold a full clean Driving license (Ireland/EU) andhave access to own car.
