Operations Supervisor- South Tipperary
FRS Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading biotechnology company in recruiting an Operations Supervisor to join their team.
Specialising in the purchase and collection of Bovine blood, processing and exporting the product to Europe, they are seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee various critical aspects of the production operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, quality control, and the efficient management of the company is completed.
Key Responsibilities: (A snapshot..)
* Maintain full compliance with EU regulations for the registration of the business.
* Manageand enforce quality control in all divisions of the business.
* Ensure full compliance with DAFM (Department of Agriculture Food and Marine) regulations, including certification and transportation requirements.
* Oversee health and safety requirementsfor both the company and the Abattoirs.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of Standard Operating Procedures.
* Maintain adeep understanding of compliance responsibilities to meet customer ISO accreditation requirements.
* Handle Animal By-ProductCategories and their appropriate management.
* Demonstrate technical ability in the ethical and efficient harvesting of bloodwhile adhering to quality standards, DAFM Veterinary Inspector requirements, and safety protocols.
* Maintain business registration for Animal By-Products manufacturing.
* Manage production planning, health and safety compliance, and quality compliance, including HACCP.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and customs requirements.
* Manage a team of operatives based at different locations nationwide
Qualifications and Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field ispreferred.
* Proven experience in a similar managerial role within a regulated industry.
* In-depth knowledge of EU regulations, DAFM regulations, and quality control standards.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
* Proficiency in document management and IT systems.
* Must hold a full clean Driving license (Ireland/EU) and have access to own car.
