Description:
Our client, based in Little Island, seeks a production/site manager. This is a days only role. You will be joining an established company with asmall, but committed team. The vacancy has come about due to retirement.
To ensure success, the site manager will need to multitask effectively, in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and perform their duties in a manner that maximizes efficiencies. You will be dedicated, competent, accountable and will have strong leadership skills.

Overview of role & responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the SiteManager has responsibility for:
* Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the site.
* Liasing with the Customer Account Manager daily with regards to customer orders and stock availability.
* Allocation of the daily/weekly operational tasks to theteam & agreeing production targets with them.
* Implementing the company's operational policies and procedures.
* Weeklystaff rostering and sourcing agency staff, when required.
* Review & reconciliation of staff hours prior to submitting time sheet to payroll.
* Ensuring correct use of all machinery including safe fork-lift and PPT operation.
* Sourcing and purchasing certain materials required for the day-to-day operation.
* Ensuring the safety and welfare of all staff and visitors tothe site.
* Motivating, training, and developing the team.
* Involvement with all HR related matters and carrying out disciplinary procedures when necessary.
* Managing staff holidays and absenteeism.
* Maintaining documentation including weekly KPI reports and keeping accurate records of all warehouse activities, including all meter reading & recording.
* Overseeingthe maintenance of the machinery, equipment & MHE including ensuring the regular cleaning of same.
* Checking and signingoff all invoices relating to the site.
* Providing direction, support, and cover to the supervisory team.
* Ensuring hourlytargets are met and all operations are carried out in the most efficient manner.
* Ensuring that the planned daily volumes for each customer are met.
* Ensuring customer collections are dispatched accurately and that all paperwork is processed correctly.
* Management of, and responsible for, ensuring the highest standards of health & safety are adhered to.
* Liasing with the General Manager and Customer Account Manager daily.
* Management of the Quality Assurance of the site and liasing withthe Group Quality Manager.
* Cross functional management cover when required.
