Production Planner
Maesteg
To £30k plus bonus
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain of a global business based in Maesteg, you will be an experienced Production Planner with the ability to play a crucial part in ensuring smooth production activities to meet customer demands while optimising operational performance. You will work closely with customer services, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement teams to create production schedules, manage inventory, and coordinate resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Production Scheduling: Create and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders
* Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to gather demandforecasts and organise production activities.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods
* Procurement Coordination: Ensure timely availability of materials and components by coordinating with the procurement team.
* Risk Management: Identify potential production constraints or bottlenecks and develop contingency plans
* Performance Evaluation: Use production performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
The Person
* Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations management,preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with production planning software and tools
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Proactive problem-solving mindset
