Description:
Our client, based in East Cork, requires a Quality manager. You will be joining a multi national company where you will beencouraged to use your initiative and where your opinion will be sought. You will be reporting to the MD and there is a team of2 Quality engineers and 3 shift quality controllers in your team.
The operation runs Monday - Friday and this is a days onlyQuality Manager job.
The current quality manager is retiring at the end of the year after 40 years with the business, so there will be a supportive handover.
Do you have a formal degree? Science or Engineering or related?
Do you have quality management systems and people management experience?
Are you a problem solver and a stickler for document control?
Your duties willinclude:
* Responsible for Quality System Maintenance.
* Act as first contact with third party certification auditors.
* Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
* Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
* Interface with Engineering/Maintenance /Operations to ensure that all produced product is in accordance with approved specifications.
* Create and maintain company qualitydocumentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
* Preparation of QA reports.
