PRESTON (3 DAYS OFFICE / 2 DAYS REMOTE)
£42,000 to £47,000 (Maybe flexible to £50,000)

THE COMPANY:
We're proud to be exclusively partnering with a long-standing clientand highly reputable manufacturing business located in Preston. As part of their strategic plan, they're now looking to recruitan experienced Supply Manager.
As Supply Manager, working closely with the Operations Director, you'll be responsible for supply management function and the leadership of the existing Production Planner. This role will include reviewing sales forecast/demands and creating an effective manufacturing schedule and ensuring efficient stock levels are maintained. Working closely withthe leadership team to ensure SOP & GMP principals are followed and maintained.
This is the perfect opportunity for an individual who is already operating in a Supply Manager/Supply Chain Manager position or an individual who can demonstrate that they are ready for the next step in their career.
THE SUPPLY MANAGER ROLE:
* Managing the site production & manufacturing plan, whilst ensuring a cost-effective process and ensuring that quality is achieved.
* Responsible for the leadership & development of the Production Planner
* Working closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Production, Buying, Warehouseand Operations to ensure key metrics such are achieved.
* Producing accurate high-level reports for both the Operations Director and Production Manager when required
* Operate and maintain the planning system software in use for the manufacture and packing of bulk and finished goods.
* Formulate packing and manufacturing schedules on a weekly and monthly basis to maintain thefinished goods stocks.
* Support the Introducing of the supply review process to match supply and demand over a 24-month period.
* Planning and monitor stock levels to ensure stock is maintained at an agreed level.
* Calculate material requirementsand communicate these to Buying so that they can be purchased at least 3 months in advance.
* Produce short-, medium-, and long-term utilisation figures for all packing and manufacturing equipment.
* Using data and analysis to positively influence outcomes, drive performance and deliver to target.
* Generate and check product artwork, inc' own label, as required.
* Work towards continuous improvement principles such as Lean, 6S.
THE PERSON:
* Must have experience as a Supply Manager or an individual who can demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to take a promotional step into a role of this level.
* Current experience of working within a Manufacturing business within a Supply position
* Demonstrable experience of Strategic planning and thinking, system analysis and evaluation
* Experience with ERP / MRP systems is essential.
* Excellent leadershipqualities, relationship building & listening skills.
* Any experience of continuous improvement, Lean and Six Sigma wouldbe an advantage.
