Description:
My client, a food farmer and manufacturer organisation, is looking for a Sustainability Lead to join their innovation sector on a permanent basis. The job is based in Kildare.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead and manage the delivery of all Sustainability Goals
* be part of the company'sESG Committee
* Lead cross functional teams in delivering the company's Sustainability Targets
* Develop a data led processfor opportunity identification and quantification of benefits and establish the processes and practices to deliver clear reports
* Promote and manage the strategic sustainability agenda with customers and key external advisors
* Create project opportunities to operate in a more sustainable manner with the aim of minimising the footprint we leave behind in our community
* Liaise with the Senior Management Team to ensure that the Sustainability Solutions integrate with other parts of the business
* Analyse and report on global sustainability developments at commercial, consumer and policy level, including analysis of sustainability programs and progress in peer companies to inform our strategy
* Prepare and submit necessary reports and updates internally as well as to key external stakeholders
In order to be successful, you will have:
* A technical background suited to the complexities of the food sector with a minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar sustainability role
* Sustainability related Degree or equivalent
* Competence in reporting systems, project management and regulatory compliance
* Abilityto build a close working relationship with other functions who will be key to delivering on the projects
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong people engagement skills
* Strong attention to accuracy in their daily work, and a high level of accomplishment and motivation
You will lead and deliver Sustainability Strategy & Goals and report to theHead of Innovation
