Your Role:
As the Assistant Directorof Nursing, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing their nursing department. Your expertise will ensure top-quality care, regulatory compliance, and a culture of excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department.
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans.
* Provide guidance and support to nursing staff.
* Monitor and evaluate nursing staff performance.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
* Maintain accurate resident records.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
* Assist in recruitment and retention of nursing staff.
* Collaborate with other department heads.
Requirements:
* Actively registered with NMBI
* Experience in a supervisory role in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
* Strong knowledge of nursing best practices and regulations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Detail-oriented and organized.
* Proficient in using electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications:
* You will have a third level Nursing qualifications, i.e. BSc in Nursing or equivalent (ideally RGN)
* A qualification in management is deisired
