Responsibilities:
As an Associate Research Scientist, you will play a crucial role indriving the regulatory and scientific progress of development and stability projects. Your key responsibilities will include:* Independently performing analytical testing, method optimization/validation, and specialist technology studies for a diverse range of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in various formulations and delivery systems.
* Designing and executing experiments with precision and adherence to methods, protocols, and SOPs.
* Reviewing and providing valuable critiques onstudy protocols, project status reports, final study reports, and other technical documents.
* Maintaining proactive communication with clients, providing them with regular updates on data and technical matters.
* Serving as a technical mentor and imparting training to junior staff members.
* Taking the lead in analytical troubleshooting sessions, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality systems.
* Analyzing and interpreting data with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Conducting thorough self and peer reviews of data to guarantee accuracy andcompliance with reporting requirements before submission to QA and issuance to customers.
Requirements:
* A degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
* Demonstrable experience of 5+ years in a similar role, showcasing your proficiency inthe field.
* Strong knowledge of general chemistry and biochemistry techniques, such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, total proteinassays (BCA or micro-BCA), and ELISA.
* Proven expertise in method development for identity and purity assays using SDS-PAGE and Western Blot techniques.
* Ideally, prior experience in leading CMC studies for biopharmaceutical products, including method validation.
* Proficiency in technical operating systems, including Image Lab software, to efficiently process and analyze data.
* Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, enabling you to independently conduct root cause analyses for method investigations.
* Experience of delivering high-quality technical writing, demonstrating your ability to articulate complex concepts effectively.
