Essential Qualifications:
*A recognised university degree or diploma with first- or second-class honours in which Psychology was taken as major subject andhonours obtained in that subject
AND
* Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling psychology, which meets the requirements ofcompetency-based evaluation and standards set out by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must provide a certificate of validation of their qualifications from the Department of Health.Essential Experience(Work Placement Experience accepted if relevant):
* The applicant will need to have gained experiencein working with children and adolescents as part of a wider multidisciplinary team involving a range of professionals.
* The applicant must have gained experience in working with children and adolescents under 18 years with co-morbid mental health difficulties, intellectual disability and/or neuro-developmental differences.
* The applicant must have gained experience of workingwith a range of severity and complexity of psychological presentations from mild problems requiring early intervention (e.g. mild depression and anxiety) to more severe and enduring issues such as severe emotional dysregulation, and trauma.
* The applicant must have good knowledge and understanding of working from a developmental trauma and attachment informed perspective. Experience of working therapeutically with these needs is desirable.
