Description:

A leading hospital for mental health is offering an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1. In this role, you will lead and nurture a team comprising Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, while also playing a pivotal part in a dedicated multi-disciplinary team. Your contributions will significantly impact the field of psychiatric nurse management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assistthe Clinical Nurse Management team in strategically and operationally developing, coordinating, and managing the service, ensuring alignment with national and regulatory standards and best practices.
- Manage patient care, adhering to the highest professional standards and utilizing evidence-based care planning approaches.
- Prioritize the dignified and respectful treatment of residents and encourage their independence in daily activities.
- Support the implementation of strategic and operational changeinitiatives within the service.
- Ensure that all practices, procedures, and policies align with the organization's service and strategic plans.
- Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to residents, following An Bord Altranais guidelines.
- Demonstrate exemplary professional and clinical leadership, maintaining the highest standards of treatment, care, and safety.
- Ensurerigorous compliance with regulatory programs, including Clinical Governance, Health & Safety, and Risk Management standards.- Oversee coordination, assessment, planning, delivery, and review of patient/residential care by the designated staff.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, actively participating in teams, meetings, and committees as needed while fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate activities related to doctors' visits in conjunction with Bloomfield's Medical Staff.
- Engage with residents, their families, caregivers, and colleagues in treatment/care planning and the provisionof support and advice.
- Effectively communicate assessment results, treatment/care plans, and recommendations to the team andrelevant stakeholders in accordance with service policies.
- Plan and execute discharges or transfers of residents between services as necessary.

Qualifications for Successful Candidates:

- Essential registration as a Psychiatric Nurse with An BordAltranais.
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration nursing experience, with at least 1 year in adult mental health services.
-Flexibility to cover night shifts, bank holidays, and weekends.
- Previous experience in a healthcare/hospital setting, particularly in acute mental health care.
- Clinical experience in palliative care is desirable.
- Proficiency in clinical, managerial, and administrative competencies.
- Extensive background in staff management, budgeting, and workforce planning.
- In-depthknowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements, leadership, and governance.
- An energetic individual with a solid clinicalbackground, capable of working within a diverse clinician team, and possessing a deep understanding of Clinical Governance concepts and operations.
- Strong leadership, teaching, management, and participation abilities, with a commitment to practice education of students and the support of others as required.
- Solid knowledge and experience in health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organizations.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
