I am delighted to represent my cleint - a private sector hospital which presents an enticing opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 to take charge of and nurture a team comprising Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. This role is pivotal within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team and offers a chance to make a substantial impact in the realm of psychiatric nurse management.

Contract: Permanent, Full-timeKey Responsibilities:
* Assist the Clinical Nurse Management team in strategic and operational development, coordination,and management, aligning with national and regulatory standards as well as best practices.
* Oversee patient care, ensuringthe highest standards utilizing evidence-based care planning methods.
* Uphold dignity and respect for residents and promotetheir independence in daily activities.
* Support the implementation of strategic and operational change initiatives within the service.
* Ensure compliance of practices, procedures, and policies with organizational service and strategic plans. * Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care in accordance with An Bord Altranais guidelines.
* Provide high-level professional andclinical leadership to ensure top-tier treatment, care, and safety standards.
* Maintain the highest standards of compliancewith regulatory programs, including Clinical Governance, Health & Safety, and Risk Management standards.
* Coordinate, assess, plan, deliver, and review patient/residential care within the designated area. * Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, actively participating in meetings and committees.
* Coordinate activities with Medical Staff for doctor visits and subsequent actions.
* Collaborate with residents, families, carers, and staff in treatment/care planning and provision of supportand advice. * Communicate assessment results, treatment/care programs, and recommendations to relevant parties in line with service policy.
* Plan discharge or transfer of residents between services appropriately.
Desired Candidate Profile: * Essential qualification as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with An Bord Altranais. * Minimum 3 years post-registration nursing experience with at least 1 year in adult mental health services. * Flexibility to cover night shifts, bank holidays, and weekends. * Experience in healthcare/hospital settings, especially in acute mental health care. * Clinical experience in palliative care is beneficial. * Strong clinical, managerial, and administrative competencies. * Extensive experience in staff management, budgeting,and workforce planning. * In-depth knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements, leadership, and governance. * Energetic with solid clinical experience in diverse teams and a robust understanding of Clinical Governance concepts and operations. * Strong leadership, teaching, management, and engagement skills. * Knowledge of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organizations. * Evidence of ongoing professional development.
