FRS is currently recruiting an experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology for a leading hospital in the Leinster Region of Ireland. The successful candidate will work as an important part of the multi-disciplinary team providing unparalleled patient care ina well-run medical Centre with modern, advanced facilities.
The role of a Gastroenterology Consultant carries a significant amount of responsibility and they are a vital member of the Gastroenterology Department. As the specialist individual whose dutyit is to ensure patients receive the best possible care, it is a challenging but rewarding post. The work of a consultant goes beyond caring directly for patients, they are often leaders of the multidisciplinary team and are heavily involved in the training and development of junior doctors and students.
Taking on this position enables a highly motivated experienced medical professional to develop new skills and to apply their extensive knowledge in a challenging but worthwhile and exciting environment.Essential Requirements:
* IMC registration or in the process of registering with IMC
* Relevant qualifications
* 5 -10 years' relevant experience post-graduation
* Previous research in clinical specialties with a number of publications
* Irish or UK experience desirable
* Excellent English skills (IELTS certificate with an overall band score of 7.0)
