The Role:
As a Part-Time Clinical Specialist Radiographer in Ultrasound, you will play a vital role in the radiology department. You'll be responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations, interpreting results, and providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population. This position offers you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge ultrasound equipment and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform ultrasound scans with precision and expertise on patients with various medical conditions.
* Analyse ultrasound images and produce accurate, timely reports to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare colleagues to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
* Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards.
* Act as amentor and resource for junior radiography staff, fostering their professional growth.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
* Must be able to scan the following examination types; Foetal Anomaly Scans (20 -24 Weeks Gestation), Multi-Pregnancy Scans, Gestational Diabetes Scan, Early Pregnancy, Placenta Localisation, Ability or willingness to use the Viewpoint Obstetric imaging and information system, Work closely with the Foetal Medicine Consultant and support the Obstetric consultants in all their clinical requirements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Radiography.
* CORU registration as a Radiographer.
* Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound.
* A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in ultrasound imaging.
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
* Must be resident in Ireland
