Are you a wizard with CT machines? Do you have an uncanny ability to make patients smile, evenwhen wearing scrubs that have seen better days? If so, you might be the CT Radiographer we've been searching for!
Responsibilities:
*
Perform CT scans on patients in accordance with established protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
*
Position patients accurately and explain the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions theymay have.
*
Operate and maintain CT scanning equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
*
Evaluate CTimages for quality, clarity, and accuracy, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic images.
*
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to provide accurate and timely imaging reports.
*
Maintain detailed patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
*
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocolsto minimise exposure to patients, staff, and oneself.
*
Assist with the scheduling and coordination of CT scanning procedures, ensuring efficiency and minimal patient waiting times.
*
Continuously update your knowledge and skills in CT technology and radiography through professional development and training.
*
Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and patient-centred care in all interactions with patients and their families.
Requirements:
*
A degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
*
Must be CORU Registered
* Must be resident in Ireland
*
Proven experience in CT scanning, including knowledge of advanced imaging techniques and equipment.
*
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
*
Commitment to patient safety, quality care,and adherence to ethical standards. Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and best practices.
*
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
*
Basic computer skills for electronic record-keeping and image management.
