Position: Experienced EHS Officer - Global Biotechnology Company
Location: Co. Clare
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable EHS Officer to join our esteemed global biotechnology client in Co. Clare. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an innovative organisation at an exciting stage of its growth. As an EHS Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation the EHSmanagement system at their site.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the EHS Manager and stakeholders to ensure compliance with the company's EHS Policy and Strategy across all departments.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
* Maintain and update relevant documentation, including policies and procedures.
* Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to EHS standards.
* Participate in external regulatory audits and assist inimplementing necessary corrective actions.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing EHS programs and initiatives.
* Record and investigate unplanned events, recommending actions to enhance staff safety and process reliability.
* Support departments in identifying hazards and implementing appropriate controls based on risk assessments.
* Work in partnership with Human Resources and Occupational Health to deliver health surveillance and promote staff well-being.
Requirements:* Recognised EHS qualification/certification (Level 7/8 Degree or NEBOSH Certificate).
* Specific qualifications or experience in assessing risks related to chemicals, biology, ergonomics, engineering/maintenance, or human factors are advantageous.
*Familiarity with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards is desirable.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus but notessential.
* Proficiency in using EHS systems like EcoOnline, Cardinus, and Red-on-Line for maintenance and operation.
