THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're excited to be recruiting for an international manufacturing company that is experiencing phenomenal growth and are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their site in Preston as they continue to expand.
As part of their next stage of growth, they're now seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to join the business and undertake a pivotal role focusing on all aspects relating to Health, Safety and Environment. The successful candidate will need experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 as you will be responsiblefor ensuring that standards are met and that the status is retained.

THE SHEQ MANAGER / HSEQ MANAGER / QHSE MANAGER ROLE:
* Act as the ambassador in the business for HSE, working with managers across the whole company to encourage compliance and buy-in
* Responsible for the ISO45001, ISO14001 accreditations including monitoring and reporting activities in accordance with the relevant standard and trade bodies
* Reviewing the existing HSE policies and processes to identify areas of improvement and ensure they remain up to date in meeting requirements
* Implement new policies, procedures and processes to improve HSE and efficiency
* Work closely with theUK Head of Health and Safety for the parent group to report KPIs and collaborate on policies
* Investigate all health and safety and environmental issues, in order to implement and develop corrective and preventative measures
* Provide Legislative andRegulation advice to the Management Team on all matters relating to HSE to ensure compliance
* Regularly monitoring the site and workplace to ensure measures are meeting requirements and to identify areas for improvement
* Producing training material and conducting training where required
* Maintaining company training records and ensuring employees are qualified
* Ensuringnew employees receive a H&S induction
THE PERSON:
* Current experience in a Health & Safety Manager, Health & Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, HSE Manager position or similar, within a manufacturing environment
* Good experience of Health& Safety / Health and Safety Management
* Must have experience in managing and maintaining ISO45001 & ISO14001
* NEBOSH General Certificate or higher
* Hold a full valid driving licence.
