Description:
Our client, based in Offaly, requires a Health & Safety specialist to join their food processing facility.This H&S job has come about due to the current Health and Safety Manager being promoted to a Group Risk/H&S manager position. You will be joining an established, Irish owned, company where progression is a reality and career development is encouraged. You will be part of the Site Leadership Team and report in to the Group Risk/H&S manager.
Do you have a formal H&S qualification?
Do you have 2/3 years post qualification H&S experience gained in a PRODUCTION/FACTORY environment?
Your duties will include:
* Develop policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors andvisitors to the company.
* Coach supervisors and managers in good and best practice and understanding of safety processes
*Develop and maintain a safety culture, in the workplace including the use of behavioural safety approach.
* Participate in the site management team owning the safety agenda
* Attend daily PIT meetings
* Complete daily safety walks
* Maintain the safety dash board
* Participate in LEAN management and continuous improvement
* Investigate and report on accidents and related incidents, recommending any changes that may be necessary, to ensure that the company complies with health and safety regulations
* Carry out a risk analysis for the company and recommend any changes that may be necessary.
* Provide any necessary training and coaching to managers and staff to ensure that they comply with all health and safety requirements.
