I am currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer for a hospital in North Dublin. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar role.
Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for the development, delivery and implementation of all Health & Safety relatedmatters in the hospital.

Responsibilities (A snapshot…)
* To advise and support management and duty holders in setting up, maintaining and improving systems that underpin an effective integrated health and safety governance system within the hospital,
* To liaise with internal stakeholders and committees and external stakeholders such as the State Claims Agency and the Health and Safety Authority.
* The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that national policy issued by the Workplace Health and Wellbeing Unit is implemented locally. This will include statutory and regulatory requirements of the Workplace Health and Wellbeing Unit for the Health and Safety of healthcare workers.
* The post holder will collaborate and advise managers on best practice in Health & Safety andCOVID response and related areas.
* The post holder will collaborate with, and support, the Quality Manager, Clinical Risk Manager, Occupational Health Department and other stakeholders in all communication processes and the collation, analysis and distribution (as applicable) of all hospital policies and will provide reports as required for committees, Management, Board of Directors and other internal / external stakeholders.
Requirements
* A Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Level 8 (or higher) major academic award (e.g. Honours Degree or Higher Diploma) in Health & Safety or other relevant area (that is,a qualification or cognate degree accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for membership at Graduate or higher level.
* Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor/Officer (or equivalent) role,
