The Hospital:
FRS Recruitment are delighted to be working with a JCI Accredited Private Hospital in Cork to source a Medical Scientist for their laboratory due to the expansion of services within the hospital.
An opportunity for Medical Scientists to develop their skills and knowledge across disciplines within this multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine and specialised laboratory tests across various disciplines, including haematology, biochemistry andblood transfusion.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of samples, maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice.
* Collaborate with a team of medical professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic services.
* Utilise advanced laboratory equipment and technologies to perform complex analyses.
* Participate in quality control and assurance programs to maintain the laboratory's accreditation standards.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory protocolsand procedures.
* Provide training and guidance to junior staff and laboratory technicians.
Essential Criteria:
* Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
* Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council) is mandatory.
* Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine
* Experience of ISO 15189 essential.
* Proven experience in a multidisciplinary laboratory setting is highly desirable.
* Excellentcommunication and teamwork abilities.
