Position: National Coordinator, Dementia Adviser Service

Overview:
The National Coordinator for the Dementia Adviser Service (DAS) plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing a nationwide service dedicated to supporting individuals affected by dementia and their families. This role involves overseeing a team of dementia advisers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and fostering partnerships within the healthcare community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, in-depth knowledge of dementia care, and a commitment to providing exemplary support to those on the dementia journey.
Key Responsibilities:

National Service Delivery:
* Manage DAS team to deliver consistent, high-quality services.
* Develop and implement annual work plans aligned with objectives.
* Provide supervision, support, and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
* Foster integration with existing healthcare services.

Service Growth:
* Promote DAS and buildrelationships to increase referrals.
* Support advisers in engaging with newly diagnosed individuals.
* Collaborate with company Helpline and other services for referrals.

Community Engagement:
* Connect with local services, community resources, and professionals.
* Act as an ambassador for The comapny.
* Support participation in community initiatives.
*Quality Maintenance:
* Develop data management systems and prepare activity reports.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and budgetary policies.
* Support continuous improvement through feedback and training.
Person Specification:
Requirements:
* Degree in relevant healthcare field.
* Minimum 5 years management experience in health/social care.
* Proventrack record in monitoring service delivery and understanding dementia care.
* Experience in community care sector and knowledge of safeguarding policies.
Skills:
* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Commitment to quality service and continuous improvement.
* Proficiency in data analysis and IT.
* Full clean driving license and flexibilityfor travel.
