If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are seeking applications from existing Persons in Charge (PICs) or experienced Team Leaders / Social Care Workers/nurses ready to take the next step in their career; the successful candidate should have a passion for supporting adults and children in the community and helping them to develop in their new homes.
As a Person in Charge, you will be responsible for the overall management of the residential house in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. The overall objective of the role is to ensure that the quality ofservice and quality of care is always to the highest possible standard whilst adhering to regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for providing leadership and management to the team ensuring that our vision and values are understood and acted upon
Responsibilities
* Lead the care team in the provision of excellent evidenced based care and implement all aspects of the care plans based on the needs identified and review accordingly
* Act as the customer advocate at all times* Plan, allocate and evaluate the workload of all staff
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding systems in line with Policiesand Procedures
* Liaise with all Health Care Professionals and HSE
* Grow and develop the the organisation.
* Identify staff training needs and provide accordingly
* Recruit, select and effectively manage a dispersed workforce
Requirements:* Level 7/8 Degree in Nursing or social studies (or suitable equivalent qualification with a management qualification in Healthcare).
* Experience in Autism and children a distinct advantage.
* A Healthcare Management/business qualification is desirable
* Experience in leading and managing teams
* Risk Management qualification is desirable
* Min 5yrs experience post qualification (3 years as Registered Nurse and 2 years clinical management experience)
* Driving license essential
* Work knowledge of HIQA Standards
