My client presents an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1, offering the chance to lead and nurture a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. This role is integral to a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, contributing significantly to the realm of psychiatric nurse management.

Position Details:

* Work Location: South Dublin
* Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
* Working Hours: 39 hours per week

About Client: my client specializes in providing a range of neuropsychiatric services for adults with serious and enduring mental health needs, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's Diseases. The facility is unique in Ireland for offering specialized care for individuals with Huntington's disease. The focus is on creating a therapeutic environment through evidence-based practices, enabling patientsto achieve their highest level of functioning and quality of life.

They have 120+bed in-patient mental health service, emphasizing the dignity of every individual. The dedicated team, comprising over 200 members, prioritizes a friendly and inclusive workplace, supporting employee well-being and a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities Include:

* Support the strategic and operational development of the Clinical Nurse Management team.
* Manage patient care following evidence-based, care planning approaches.
* Ensure residents are treated with dignity and independence is encouraged.
* Support strategic and operational change programs.
* Ensure compliance with organizational plans, policies, and procedures.
* Provide safe, comprehensivenursing care adhering to guidelines.
* Offer clinical leadership to maintain high treatment and care standards.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory programs, including Clinical Governance, Health & Safety, and Risk Management.
* Coordinate, assess, plan, deliver, and review patient/residential care in the designated area.
* Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team,residents, families, and other staff in treatment/care planning.
* Communicate assessment results, treatment/care programs, and recommendations as per service policy.
* Plan discharge or transfer of residents between services.

Requirements for Successful Candidates:

* Registered Psychiatric Nurse with An Bord Altranais.
* Minimum 3 years post-registration nursing experience, including 1 year in adult mental health services.
* Flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting, particularly in acute mental health care.
* Clinical experience in palliative care is desirable.
* Strong managerial and administrative competencies, including staff management, budgeting, and workforce planning.
* In-depth knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements, leadership, and governance.
* Energetic individual with solid clinical experience, adept at working with diverse teams and strong knowledge of Clinical Governance.
* Ability to lead, teach, manage, participate, and contribute to the practice education of students.
* Good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting a healthcare organization.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
