Job description:
Are you a caring and dedicated nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities? Our clients is currently seeking applications from registered Nurses interested in joining a team within a specialist medical residential service.
The service users they support withing this children's service have complex medical needs in addition to their disability needs and they require nursing staff to provide care for this specific service.
The houseis fully equipped to meet the needs of service users and is supported by an extensive multidisciplinary team who provide on site therapy. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver effective, efficient, and quality assured care to all its service users.
Responsibilities and duties
* Assessing and planning nursing care for the service users
* Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
* Documenting and maintaining accurate records of service user care
* Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
* Providing emotional support to service user and their families
* Monitoring and reporting changes in service users health status
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment for service users
* Supervising and training nursing assistants
Essential Requirements
* Third-level Nursing Qualification
* Active registration with NMBI
* Recent graduates, experienced Nurses, and Senior Staff Nurses are welcome to apply* Demonstrate sound knowledge of older people
* Understanding of Care of people with intellectual disabilities
