The hospital is dedicated to clinical excellence, and are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join their dynamic cardiology department.
Job Description: As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients. Your expertise will bevital in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resting ECG: Perform, interpret, and report on 12-lead ECGs.
* Exercise Treadmill Testing: Conduct medical and physiologist-led exercise stress tests,including interpretation and reporting.
* Ambulatory Monitoring: Fit, analyze, and report on ambulatory ECG and blood pressure recordings.
* Cardiac Implantable Devices: Provide follow-up care for pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices, including implantation assistance.
* Echocardiography: Perform transthoracic echocardiography, assist with transoesophageal echocardiography, andprovide detailed reports.
* Cath Lab Assistance: Independently assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including electrophysiology studies.
* Electrophysiology: Assist with mapping, ablation, and other electrophysiological studies.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualifications: Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technology University Dublin or Dublin Institute of Technology OR Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by theIrish Institute of Clinical Measurements Physiology (IICMP).
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of satisfactory post-qualification relevant experience.
* Proficient in the performance, interpretation, and reporting of 12-lead ECGs
* Experience in cardiac physiologist-led exercise ECG (stress) tests, including interpretation and reporting
* Skilled in performing, interpreting, and reporting on ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring.
Experience in One or More of the Following Areas is Highly Desirable:* Cardiac Catheterisation: Proficient in haemodynamic monitoring, PCI, IVUS, FFR, and IABP procedures.
* Echocardiography: Skilled in performing and reporting echocardiographic studies.
* Cardiac Implantable Devices: Experienced in the implantation and follow-up of pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices.
* Electrophysiology Studies: Competent in performing, mapping, and ablationof electrophysiological studies.
