Senior occupational Health Assessor
3-month contract - NHS Trust, Peterborough
£230 per day
Hybrid WorkingOverview:
To provide impartial, confidential, and expert Occupational Health and Wellbeing service to the employees of the NHS Trust and external clients.
Provide professional leadership to Occupational Health & Wellbeing Advisors. To assistthe Occupational Health & Wellbeing Manager in leading and advancing clinical practice in line with DoH guidelines and legislation.
To maintain continuing professional development and contribute to the development of the Occupational Health service through research-based practice and audit.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide a professional service on behalf of the Occupational Health Wellbeing Department.
* Offer advice and guidance to managers & employees on the services available.
*To provide all aspects of nursing care including consultation, advice, education, testing and immunisations where appropriate and in accordance with patient group directives, departmental protocols and current Health and Safety legislation.
* To ensure that the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Department is customer focused, efficient, effective & the service is deliveredto the highest possible professional standards.
Qualifications:
* Registration with NMC Part 1
* Specialist Community Public Health Nurse on Part 3 of the NMC resister
* Evidence of up-to-date knowledge base of professional and specialist issues* Sound educational background including a good standard of numeracy and written English.
Experience:
* Management and/or Leadership experience Experience in phlebotomy
* Current knowledge of relevant professional and NHS initiatives
* Experience of undertaking audit or nurse research
* An enthusiastic and inspiring role model grounded in practice.
* Demonstratesa clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional Knowledge and experience of occupational health in the business Sector
* Experience working in NHS Occupational Health Knowledge and understanding of occupational diseasesand ill health arising from the working environment Working in a nurse led OH service Current Immunisation training 6 practice.
