Description:
Senior Occupational Health Nurse
Based in Peterborough/Huntington
Full-time hours over 4 days per week
Band 6 - £133-£157 daily rate (Inside IR35)
3-Month initial contract
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the departmentruns an evidence based service
* Assist staff with clinical expertise
* Caseload management
* Provide leadership and direction on occupational health issues to staff
* To participate in health, safety & infection prevention groups
* To participate in working groups to support implementation of product changes.
* To participate in outbreak meetings that affect employees, blood and body fluid exposure incident data and any issues with regards to the vaccination programme
* Monitoring systems to ensure compliance with key occupational health performance indicators
* Delivery of data to the Department of Health as required.
* To manage the employee assistance programme and reflect usage trends/issues
* To ensure the occupational health service complies with quality standards
* Monitor and identify patterns of sickness absence and work incidents/accidents and toreport to the appropriate management
* Ensure appropriate systems are in place for reporting incidents and occupational diseases internally and externally
* To ensure all occupational health staff are trained to meet the needs of service
* To meet regularly with occupational health staff to discuss both clinical and commercial developments within the service.
Registered Health Professional All staff who are members of a professional body must comply with standards of professional practice/conduct.It is the post holder's responsibility to ensure they are both familiar with and adhere to these requirements. All registered professionals must maintain registered in line with the Trust Professional Registration with Regulatory Bodies Policy.
