Description:

Service Operations Manager (Band 8C).
£38-£45 per hour (Inside IR35).
6 Month Contract (With a potential 3 month extension).
Office located in Stanmore with flexibility to work at sites where Trust activity is delivered and ability to work from home as agreed.
Full time (37.5 hrs)

My Client are an NHS Trust based in Stanmore, who are currently seeking a Service Manager on an initial 6 month contract (with potential to extend a further 3 months). This role is full time (37.5hrs), paying £38-£45 per hour (Inside IR35).

Essential skills/experience:

* Advanced communication skills, including evidence of influencing and negotiation skills
* Ability to achieve effective team working within own services and across an organisation
* Degree or equivalent
* Management qualification
* Evidence of continuing personal development
* Extensive knowledge of the NHS in the acute sector
* Detailed understanding of the NHS and key policy issues which effect elective performance
* Substantial senior operational management experience, in the NHS or equivalent
* Management experience of a range of roles and work relevant to the post
* Staff management/ motivation & leadership of a number of teams. Including multi-disciplinary workingwith clinicians
* Evidence of leading and managing change within a complex and changing environment
* Strategic planning and project management
* Understanding of clinical governance and risk
* Ability to critically analyse complex, performance, financial and clinical data sets.
* Proactively shape and use information
* Demonstrate use of information to create and conclude a business plan/ case
* Ability to deliver to deadlines and within resources and manage the work of others to do this
*Attention to detail
* Able to lead by example and challenge the status quo constructively and effectively
* Excellent skills in MS Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
* Demonstrable commitment to anti-discriminatory and inclusive behaviours and practices
* Experience of developing, drafting and implementing processes, policies, standard operating procedures
* Significant management of large and complex budgets
* Leadership of CIP schemes; their development and delivery
*Ability to work under pressure and flexibly in a dynamic environment

* Demonstrate working with external stakeholders, delivering an organisation priority
* Postgraduate qualification
* Managing / developing a cross sites complex function
* Involvement in consultant job planning and good knowledge of medical staffing matters
* Involvement in major procurement exercise
* Led a complex HR matter for exampleconsultation on change, and substantial application of HR policies
* Presentation of papers to Trust level meetings e.g. executive committee or Trust board
* Involvement in implementing a new digital system such as an electronic health record
* Managing and leading others to understand finance duties and responsibilities

Confidentiality

Post-holders must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business in accordance with the Data Protection of 1998. Post-holders must not, without prior permission, disclose any information regarding patients or staff. If any member of staff has communicated any such information to an unauthorised person those staff will be liable to dismissal. Moreover, the Data Protection Act 1998 also rendersan individual liable for prosecution in the event of unauthorised disclosure of information. Following the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2005, post-holders must apply the Trust's FOI procedure if they receive a written request for information.
