Senior Physiotherapist Musculoskeletal Outpatients
I am seeking anexperienced Senior Physiotherapist to work within a team who provide exceptional patient care, in a South Dublin hospital. My client has treated over 207,000 patients last year across all areas of medicine and surgery.

Main duties:
* Demonstrate sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to carry theout duties and responsibilities of the role
* Demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge to best practice standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of the following conditions with evidence:
* Osteoarthritis
* Rheumatoid Arthritis
* Acute and Chronic Pain syndromes
* Pain physiology: Central and Peripheral Pain
* Sports Specific Injuries
* Spinal Conditions and triage
* Peripheral injuries
The following skills and experience are desirable:
* Strength and conditioning Accreditation
* Dry needling/acupuncture
* Biomechanical assessment for orthotics
* Chronic pain management
* Pilates qualification* Vestibular Rehabilitation
* Ward based skills
* Demonstrate knowledge of wound healing, fracture and tendon healing.* Demonstrate knowledge of motor control and movement patterns
* Demonstrate knowledge of Red Flags and Yellow Flags
* Demonstrate ability to sort through extraneous detail to identify pertinent information. Focuses on, and documents key detail accurately in PT notes
* Protocols: Appropriately utilises post-op protocols
* Assessments: Adheres to departmental assessment protocols. Utilises references to expand knowledge of assessment tools.
* Clinical Reasoning: Demonstrates choice of appropriate treatment intervention through sound clinical reasoning
* Treatment Reflection: Demonstrate ongoing re-assessment throughout course of treatment
* Analysis of treatment outcome and subsequent re-evaluation on treatment results.
* Realistic and appropriate goal setting
* Appropriate and timely modification of Treatment programme.
* Appropriate onward referral for the patient when appropriate.
Requirements:
* Have a degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification
* Be registered with CORU
* Experience of first contact Spinal Triage Services is desirable
* Pilates and Vestibular Rehabilitation experience an advantage
* Strength and Conditioning Accreditation is desirable but not essential
* Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy experience.
