Basic Grade Speech and Language Therapist

FRS Recruitment are delighted to be working with healthcare service in North Dublin committed to providing high-quality care and support to children with intellectual disabilities.
Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Basic Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join the team. In this role, you will work closely with children who have intellectualdisabilities, providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy to support their communication and swallowing needs. You will be anintegral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities in children with intellectual disabilities.
* Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to address communication challenges and enhance language development.
* Provide Dysphagia management, including assessment and intervention strategies.
* Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach to care.
* Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
* Degree in Clinical Speech and Language Therapy.
* CORU registration.
* Dysphagia training.
* Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
Desirable Attributes:
* Previous experience working with children with intellectual disabilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A commitment to continuous professional development.
