Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to the guidelines and regulations established by the Nursing Department and NMBI, ensuring compliance with the scope of practice, policies, procedures, legal requirements, and standards.2. Deliver efficient and effective nursing care through the following methods:
3. Plan, execute, and assess patient carefrom admission to discharge, including the completion of nursing assessments, care plans, and relevant documentation.
4. Communicate pertinent patient care information verbally and in writing to appropriate medical and nursing staff, as well as other clinical personnel.
5. Collaborate and cooperate with various hospital departments as necessary.
6. Maintain accurate patient records in a confidential manner, using approved abbreviations, and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
7.Adhere to medication policies, ensuring the safekeeping and proper recording of scheduled drugs at all times.
8. Demonstrateprofessionalism, courtesy, and a caring demeanor when interacting with patients, their families, fellow staff members, and other service users.
9. Update hospital information systems as required.
10. Respond effectively and swiftly in emergency situations.
11. Provide patient care with minimal supervision and assume departmental leadership in the absence of the CNM1.
12. Exercise discretion and sound judgment in patient care decisions, seeking guidance from CNM1, CNM2, medical staff, or relevant disciplines when necessary.
13. Address concerns through appropriate channels of authority, starting with discussions withCNM1, CNM2, Nurse in Charge, or CEO, as appropriate.
14. Take responsibility for inventory management, ensuring the department maintains adequate levels of required supplies.
15. Contribute to the advancement of nursing "Best Practice" by identifyingrecurring nursing issues and implementing evidence-based practices.
16. Report all adverse incidents and challenges involving patients and staff to the Nurse in Charge, documenting complete details in accordance with hospital policies.
17. Perform miscellaneous job-related tasks as directed by the Nurse in Charge or CEO.
18. Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain thesecurity of patient records in accordance with established procedures.
19. Support efforts to achieve and uphold Hospital Accreditation standards.
