Their goal is to ensure they continue to provide Advanced Medicine This hospital received Joint Commission Accreditation (JCI) in 2005 whichis one of the highest seals of approval for medical facilities and ensures that the hospital consistently meets high standardsof patient safety and quality care.
This Hospital in Tralee has grown rapidly over recent years and recent advancements include new clean air operating theatres, two new endoscopy operating suites, a new radiology/diagnostic wing and a Rapid Access unit.Applications from suitably qualified persons are invited to apply for Permanent full time positions of Staff Nurse - Cath Lab

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements at a minimum:

* Registered with Nursing& Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) with NMBI pin
* Eligible to work in Ireland ie visa/work permit
* Minimum 12 monthspost registration nursing in acute care
* Experience in the fields of Cardiac Cath Lab - relevant Cath Lab training and additional support will be given to suitable candidates as required
* Excellent Communications and Interpersonal Skills
* IT Skills

As a Staff Nurse in the Cath Lab, your responsibilities are likely to include:

1 Patient Assessment and Care:

* Conducting thorough assessments of patients scheduled for catheterisation procedures.
* Administeringmedications and monitoring patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.

1 Procedure Assistance:

* Assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals during catheterisation procedures.
* Operating specialised equipment and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.

1 Patient Education:

* Providing patients and their families with information about catheterisation procedures and post-procedure care.
* Offering support and addressing any concerns or questionsthey may have.

1 Collaboration and Communication:

* Collaborating with other healthcare team members, including cardiologists, radiologic technologists, and other nurses, to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

1 Documentation:

* Accurately documenting patient information, procedure details, and any complications or observations in the medical record.

1 Emergency Response:

* Being prepared to respond to emergencies or complications during catheterisation procedures.
* Following established protocols for managing critical situations.

1 Quality Improvement:

* Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and effectiveness of procedures.
* Adhering to established guidelines and best practices in the Cath Lab.

1 Continuous Learning:* Staying updated on the latest advancements in catheterisation technology and cardiovascular care.
* Participating in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills.
